Unrestricted/Restricted Gifts

Gifts that are not designated for a particular program or activity provide the funds to enhance global engagement through cultural diplomacy.

Gifts may be directed to a specific program, activity need of interest to the donor.

Matching Gifts

Many companies will match an employee’s gift up to a certain point and sometimes more than dollar-for-dollar, thereby increasing the impact of your gift. To find out if your employer has a matching gift program, please click on this link and enter your employer’s name in the window, then hit “submit.” Or, check with your employer to see if such a program is available and for any restrictions that might apply.

Gifts in Kind

Gifts in Kind are another way of making a contribution to the World Affairs Council of Central Florida. These may provide needed materials and products for operations, such as audio-visual and computer equipment; or services such as consultation or Web site development. If you are considering making a gift in kind, please contact the Office (info@waccfl.org) to determine World Affairs Council of Central Florida’s interest in a particular gift.

Gifts of Securities or Appreciated Property

The IRS provides generous incentives for charitable gifts in many forms. Donating long-term appreciated assets allows the donor to avoid capital gains taxes and to claim a charitable income tax deduction based on the full fair-market value of the gift. Gifts of real estate, stocks, bonds, and certain other real property can provide valuable benefit to WAC.
